Seit geraumer Zeit nutze ich Ubuntu (derzeit 9.10) als zweites OS neben Windows 7. Bereits in früheren Ubuntu Installationen fiel mir auf, dass die Backspace-Button Funktion im Firefox keine Funktionalität besitzt. Warum eigentlich? In Windows reagiert die Taste als Zurück Button. Ich finde die Funktion ist praktisch, wenn ich nur die Backspace-Taste betätige, um damit eine Seite im Browser zurückgehen kann.
Aktivieren kann man das ganze ziemlich einfach über die Adressleiste mit dem Befehl:
about:config
Und mittels der Suche (Filter) nach dem Parameter browser.backspace_action ändern. Der benötigte Wert für die Funktionalität ist eine 0 (Null). Die Änderung wird sofort aktiv und es kann weitergehen! Das war’s.
